Our Mission

At Earth & Planetary Insights, our mission is to advance the frontiers of geosciences through the publication of high-quality, peer-reviewed research. As a newly launched open-access journal, we are dedicated to fostering a deeper understanding of Earth’s processes and the dynamic systems of our celestial neighbors. Our goal is to serve as a bridge between past discoveries and future innovations in the multidisciplinary exploration of geosciences.

We are committed to contributing to the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals and fully embracing the Agenda 2030. By promoting sustainable practices and responsible stewardship of our planet, we aim to support the global scientific community in addressing the pressing environmental challenges of our time. Our journal serves as a platform for researchers to share their findings, collaborate across disciplines, and engage in critical discussions that propel scientific knowledge forward.

Although Earth & Planetary Insights is a new journal, it builds upon the rich heritage of over two decades of scholarly excellence established by the SWS Scholarly Society Vienna. Our extensive archive, enriched by contributions from international conferences and affiliated libraries, supports our commitment to advancing geoscientific research. We are driven by the collective expertise of our International Scientific Committee on Earth and Planetary Sciences, ensuring the highest quality and integrity in our peer-review process.

In an era where sustainability is paramount, we recognize the essential role of geosciences in understanding and managing the Earth’s resources, mitigating natural disasters, and combating climate change. Our vision extends beyond the publication of articles; we aim to foster international dialogue, promote environmental awareness, and support scientific endeavors that will lead to a more sustainable, equitable, and resilient future.

Join us in our mission to illuminate the secrets of Earth and beyond. Together, we can contribute to a legacy of scientific excellence and a sustainable tomorrow.
